I decided to give a the lake a shot in hopes of jaegers and all. Although I
didn't see any, it was still a great day considering that its only the 4th
of September. Best birds were 2 very early red-breasted mergansers and 2
black terns. I do not see a lot of black terns here. Lots of ring-billed
gulls. The way the wind was blowing many were flying sideways and
backwards. Picking anything different out of the gulls would have been
difficult early.
